In 5th Grade, students are at a very important transitional phase as they prepare for the rigors of middle school. They will be shifting from learning to read to reading to learn and learning to write to writing to teach. They will be developing increased mathematical and scientific analysis and continuing to observe and make sense of our world. Their bodies and brains are also beginning to make some huge shifts as many students are on the onset of puberty.
